about me...
Hello, I’m Annie
Photographer. Mum. Wife. Cat servant. Professional memory-maker.
I’m Annie, and I’ve been behind the camera professionally since 2010, after graduating with a Photography Degree from Staffordshire University in 2009.
My photography journey began growing up in Urmston, Manchester, and somewhere along the way, a love of taking photographs turned into a career that I feel incredibly lucky to call my own.
Fast forward a few years and I married Mr Jones in 2015. We now have two children, one completely crazy cat, and a family life that is wonderfully busy, occasionally chaotic, and full of the little moments that I know are worth remembering.
Life outside the camera...
When I’m not photographing your family, you’ll usually find me with my own family, exploring somewhere new.
I love to travel, discover new places and make memories along the way. We’re big fans of camping during the summer months, and you’ll often find us wandering around local country shows, vintage vehicle displays and anywhere else that looks like it might make for a good day out!
We’re also slowly working our way around the Canary Islands — because apparently one island holiday wasn’t enough!
And then there’s the photography...
This is where my heart really is.
I have a particular soft spot for toddlers and preschoolers. The beautifully unpredictable little people who have their own ideas about absolutely everything - including whether they intend to have their photograph taken!
And honestly? I love it.
Some children bound through the door ready to perform for the camera. Others need a little more time, a little more reassurance and perhaps a good few games before they decide I’m actually quite alright.
There’s no forcing smiles here.Sometimes we play. Sometimes we sing. Sometimes we tell silly stories. Sometimes we simply sit together while they watch from the safety of Mum’s knee.
And then, almost without anyone noticing, something changes.
The shoulders relax... The smile appears... The laughter starts...
And that’s when the magic happens.
The moments that matter...
For me, photography has never been about simply creating a beautiful picture.
It's about capturing the feeling.
The way your little one reaches for your hand. The giggle that happens when nobody is expecting it. The way your children look at each other. The enormous cuddle that only lasts a few seconds. The slightly chaotic family moments that, years from now, you’ll look back on and wish you could step into all over again.
Those are the photographs I want to create for you.
Beautiful, natural images that feel like your family - not a performance for the camera.
Because your children won’t always be this little.
The tiny hands will grow. The cuddles will change. The cheeks you can’t resist kissing will become less squishy. And one day, you’ll look back at these photographs and remember not just what they looked like, but exactly how it felt to hold them at that age.
That is the privilege of what I do.
I get to freeze those fleeting pieces of your family story and turn them into something tangible - something beautiful that you can hold onto, display in your home and pass down through the years.
And that, quite simply, is why I love being a photographer.
